April has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Computer Science from Albany State University; and Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy specializing in Spirituality in Counseling from Richmont Graduate University. She has completed the hours required for Licensed Professional Counselor, Mental Health Service Provider (MHSP) and (LPC) supervisor in Tennessee. She and her husband are the owners and founders of Sound Living Counseling Center. She is also the executive director of Sound Living Foundation. April is an adjunct professor in social service and psychology at Belhaven University. She loves teaching as much as counseling and speaking.
April loves reading, traveling, sharing the word of God and helping people to reach their potential. Her passions include helping the next generation of counselors, encouraging people to live God centered marriages and helping to reduce the stigma of mental health. Finally, she is able to minister to others as a result of the amazing grace of God, through faith in Jesus Christ and the transforming power of the Holy Spirit.
