Keynote Speaker: LaTrice Currie Leslie
We are thrilled to have LaTrice Currie Leslie as our Keynote Speaker for the 2024 Leadership Symposium.
LaTrice Currie Leslie is the Noon Anchor and 5:30 co-anchor at the NBC affiliate Local 3
News. Before moving to the afternoon and evening shows, LaTrice was the morning co-anchor for Eyewitness News Today. LaTrice is the Eye on Health reporter where she features weekly award-winning medical segments. She received her B.A. from Hampton University, and her M.A. with honors from Regent University.
LaTrice hosts Trends on Three, a weekly public affairs show taking a closer look at issues facing the community. LaTrice is also an accomplished author. Her book “My Journey Finding God’s Purpose and Power” has been used in various book clubs and featured at public events.
LaTrice is a member of New United Baptist Church. She a dedicated wife and proud mother to one son.
Panelist: Tom Glenn, President, Elder’s Ace Hardware
Tom has served as President of Elder’s Ace Hardware for the past 30 years. Along with
a team of dedicated long-term leaders, Tom has worked to grow Elder’s into one of Ace
Hardware’s largest members with over 900 associates and 32 stores in Tennessee,
Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. Tom served on the national Board of
Directors of Ace Hardware Corporation based in Chicago for 12 years from 1996 to
2008, the last five years serving as the corporation’s Chairman.
Tom received his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia, and his MBA
from Duke University. But Tom considers the time he spent sitting at the feet of his now-deceased father, Elder, as his most priceless training.
Elder’s has provided Tom the opportunity to be actively engaged in the Chattanooga
community. He has served on the Boards of the United Way (Chairman, 2014-2016), the Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce (Chairman, 2018- 2019), the National Center for Youth Issues, Bible in the Schools (Chairman, 2020-2023), Child Evangelism Fellowship, The Generosity Trust (Chairman, 2021-2022), Souls for Christ, and the Chattanooga Girls Leadership Academy. Tom is also a member of the First Horizon Bank Chattanooga advisory Board of Directors and a member of the Downtown Rotary Club (President, 2023-2024).
Tom and Darlene have been members of Brainerd Baptist Church for 33 years. They are
privileged to be the parents of Lauren (Greg) Reabold, Garrett Glenn, and grandson,
Hudson Reabold.
Panelist: Kim White, Vice Chancellor for Development and Alumni Affairs, University of Tennessee at Chattanooga
We are excited to have Kim White, University of Tennessee at Chattanooga’s vice chancellor for development and alumni affairs and executive director of the University of Chattanooga, as panelist for the 2024 Leadership Symposium.
White, a native of Hixson, received a Bachelor of Arts degree from UTC in 1982.
In 2018, White was appointed to the UT (system) Board of Trustees by Gov. Bill Haslam.
White is the former president and CEO of River City Company—the non-profit development organization dedicated to Downtown Chattanooga’s economic growth and development—from 2009 to 2020. Under her leadership, Chattanooga saw a renewed emphasis on downtown housing, improved connections with UTC and the creation of great public spaces. Private investment helped implement the City Center Plan, the redevelopment of Miller Park and the redesign of Patten Parkway.
She has served the city on numerous boards, including the Enterprise Center and the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce. She has been a member of the Downtown Chattanooga Rotary Club and spent six years as an Erlanger Hospital Authority Trustee.
Her career honors include being selected as one of the 100 most significant alumni in the history of the University of Tennessee system. She received the UTC Outstanding Service Award in 2015 and the Erlanger Foundation’s Gordon Street Distinguished Community Leadership Award in 2020.
Panelist: Dan Davis, CEO, Mission Increase
Dan Davis serves as the president and CEO of Mission Increase, where he is responsible for developing the ministry’s strategic vision, leading its expansion initiatives, engaging with key partners, and providing oversight to all operational aspects of the organization. Under his leadership, Mission Increase has more than doubled its geographic footprint to operations in 46 communities across 15 states, and the number of active ministries supported has grown from 750 to over 3,300.
Mr. Davis joined Mission Increase Foundation in 2003 as CFO before transitioning to his current role in 2012. Prior to that, he was assistant controller for Pamplin Communications Corporation and the vice president of Finance & Administration at Medical Teams International.
Mr. Davis graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Seattle Pacific University where he met his wife Megan. They have been married for 35 years and have two adult children.
