Guest Speaker: Barbara Marter, Executive Director, The Weldon F. Osborne Foundation, Inc.

Barbara Marter is the Executive Director of The Weldon F. Osborne Foundation, Inc., a local foundation making grants to nonprofits in the greater Chattanooga area.   She also consults with family foundations, helping them to create a “legacy of giving” with their family members.

Barbara gave her life to Christ at the age of 16 at a Church of Christ Revival in Dayton, TN.  As the only family member to believe in Christ and attend Church, there were times when it was difficult to think "What would Jesus Do" or even follow through on his instructions.  However, perseverance did pay off as her mother, stepfather and brother all came to know Christ and call Him their personal savior.  

Barbara serves on the board of Adult & Teen Challenge MidSouth and The Salvation Army Advisory Board.  Her heart and passion is helping nonprofits with board training, strategic planning, visioning, and self-assessments.  She is co-founder of the Chattanooga Stronger Together WTCI-TV show that showcases small local nonprofits and helps educate the viewers on the many services, programs and assistance our nonprofits provide.
